The Tidewater Horse Council was organized by a group of Tidewater horse enthusiasts in 1978.  THC is neither breed nor discipline specific.  Our purpose is to educate, stay updated on local equine news, events and horse health, and to help develop the well-rounded rider, while promoting owner responsibility, safety, horse management and all styles of riding that benefits all facets of the horse community.
